Lena’s Legacy
Lena Bilbrey
April 10, 1942 – August 15, 2016
Lena built and co-owned Bilbrey Tours, Inc. beginning in 1990 based on a dream. As the President and CEO, she had vast experience planning both national and international tours for groups of 1 to 100. Over the course of her 27 years with BTI, she helped fulfill travel dreams of tens of thousands.
Lena was featured locally, regionally and nationally on television, radio, newspapers and travel publications promoting tourism. Additionally, she was one of the few female motorcoach owners in the nation.
Lena believed it was the “little” things that could transform an ordinary trip into a lifelong memory. This belief of providing limitless possibilities of travel remains the commitment of Bilbrey Tours, Inc today.
This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24
Lena’s Legacy Lives On
Lena Bilbrey not only had a love for travel but a love for people both near and far. Prior to her passing, Lena shared with her family a wish she had to provide water for individuals in Uganda that otherwise had no access to viable drinking water. The Bilbrey family, the Bilbrey Tours family, friends, and travelers have made that dream a reality.
John 4:14 Foundation
Partnered with the John 4:14 Foundation from Midland, Texas, Bilbrey Tours is pleased to announce the completion of ten water wells throughout Uganda as part of Lena’s Legacy. Each well serves thousands of people in the surrounding villages. Each well bears her name and a Bible verse special to us at Bilbrey Tours – Psalms 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Bilbrey Tours remains committed to spreading Lena’s legacy through future wells. Proceeds from every trip you take with Bilbrey Tours will advance her dream and fund additional wells.
